Hello and welcome to the latest issue to Real Rochdale.
We’ve got some great, in-depth features in this edition, including a detailed look at Littleborough U3A - a thriving community group which is improving so many lives.
We also paid a visit to local business Boro Bees to see how the owners are turning their newly-acquired plot into a vibrant bee sanctuary and community garden.
Speaking of local businesses, we went to the launch of Rochdale Creates at Rochdale Town Hall - a fantastic new website which has been launched by creatives, for creatives, with funding from the Arts Council. You can read all about this on page 10.
You may already have heard of Tackling Minds, an outstanding local charity aimed at improving
mental health through the art and skill of fishing. We were delighted to catch up with their owner, David Lyons for this edition, who updated us on some major lottery funding. See what else he had to say on page 23.
