Vintage Worx Community Development Trust has been removing barriers and increasing potential for 18 years, providing workshops, training and support that give local people the
belief and power to take control of their lives and achieve their goals.
Based in Falinge Park, Vintage Worx develop genuine relationships with people that give them the confidence and self-belief they need to bring about positive change in their lives.
The organisation is run by a team of locals and guided by neighbourhood voices through surveys, suggestion boards and open forums.
It’s not just for the community; it’s by the community. From directors to volunteers, everyone pitches in. There are no hierarchies, and the door is always open, usually with a slice of cake to welcome you in.
Activities include creative crafts for over 55s, creative writing and poetry, upcycling sessions, stitch and chat, women in business networking, junior park rangers, and litter picking and
gardening.

With no access to core funding, Vintage Worx relies on project grants and events.
Despite these challenges, the impact is undeniable; through Vintage Worx, local people have someone on their side, someone that empowers them to start making change.
By working together with local people, Vintage Worx is tackling social isolation, giving people the skills and training they need, running events that bring the community together, and working to restore the local park to create a community-owned and managed asset of which local people can be proud.
