Winter 2021Make a difference this Christmas by choosing Fairtrade
This Christmas, make a difference by gifting your loved ones ethically produced goods from Rochdale’s only dedicated Fairtrade certified outlet, Fair for All.
Established in 2006 by three members of the Rochdale Fair Trade Forum – Monica Fowler, Jan Hicks and Tricia Atherton – Fair for All sells a variety of products including food, teas and coffees, cleaning products, chocolate, ceramics, incense, scarves, glassware, wall art, wooden giftware, jewellery.
Fair for All only provides Fairtrade and ethical goods, meaning every purchase will make a difference to someone, somewhere.
Each of these items are handmade in places such as India, Bali, Thailand and African countries, and allow people from developing countries to trade and receive an income.
The distinctive Fairtrade mark guarantees that the people who grow or produce the goods get a fair wage, fair working conditions and a fair trade premium that benefits their whole community. It can even help provide an education for their children or produce better healthcare.
Fair for All is a social enterprise staffed entirely by volunteers and is open every day from 9.30am - 4.30pm, except Sundays.
The shop can be found on the ground floor of Couzens Hair Salon, 5-7 The Walk, Rochdale town centre, OL16 1EP.
