Summer 2022’Thank you’ funds raised for hospital by children
Giving back to the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital as thanks for care
Local children have raised over £800 for the Manchester University Foundation Trust Charity after running the Greater Manchester Mini Run on Saturday 21 May.
The group – Ella’s Army – tackled the mile-long run to raise money for the hospital charity, which supports treatment and research at Manchester hospitals, including the children’s hospital – where many of them have received life-saving treatment in the past.
Ella Chadwick has completed the run each year since her kidney transplant in 2014, and was this year joined by 10 friends, including some from the inclusive sign-language group and Britain’s Got Talent runners-up, Sign Along With Us.
Other runners included Christian Kilduff, seven; Lauren Norbury, 12; Hollie Barton, 12; Millie Barker Gorse, 15; Maddie Barker Gorse, 13; Izzy Barker Gorse, 12; Jack Barker Gorse, nine; and Lucy Rawes Moran, 13.
