Summer 2022Hairdressing trend - Beach Waves
Summer has arrived, and we will see a strong demand for longer periods in between appointments, with more emphasis on natural textures and colours for a low maintenance style, which can prove challenging for stylists and technicians.
Definitely don’t be afraid to ask, “can you make my haircut and colour last longer”?
Taking inspiration from the classically effortless beach waves, this ultra-feminine cut features texture and movement with long face-framing layers.
Senior technician Georgia Matthews explains how to achieve this look: “Post-lockdown, we are seeing a trend towards more natural looking colour. Emma’s hair had solid blonde ends and looked tired.
“I chose toasted caramel highlights with a rich brunette in between, melting to lighter brown on the ends.
“This natural sun-kissed look will grow out naturally and will look beautiful all summer.”
The beauty of beach waves is it is easy to maintain: to finish, take pieces at random, run a hot tool over them (no need to go wild with your curling wand) with a little flick here and there to create an effortless natural beachy texture.
The end result is fresh and natural with a healthy glow to last all summer long.
