Summer 2018Rochdale Town Hall
Despite being one of the most instantly recognisable buildings in England, the full potential of Rochdale Town Hall for use as a venue for weddings and other private celebrations - or corporate events - is one of the region’s best-kept secrets. Look inside this breath-taking example of Gothic Revival architecture and you will find a staggering array of rooms and facilities suitable for any occasion, the grandest of them all being the fabled Great Hall.
The Great Hall represents one of the North-West’s most prestigious and sought-after wedding venues. Its vaulted space is flanked on either side by the very finest stained glass representations of England’s monarchs, stretching back to William the Conqueror and culminating with frescos of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert.
At capacity, the Great Hall can accommodate 350 seated guests (a capacity reduced to 250 to incorporate dance floor space), all overseen by a chorus of oak-carved angels.
Couples interested in booking the venue can look forward to a comprehensive and bespoke service. A dedicated wedding coordinator will meet with you, provide an extensive tour, and discuss a possible structure and itinerary for the day.
The Clock Tower Dining Room within Rochdale Town Hall now provides attentive and efficient table service by an outstanding team of welcoming professionals. With everything from exquisite, beautifully presented afternoon tea selections (champagne optional) to fabulously traditional fresh meals available at superb prices, the restaurant and cafe is more popular than ever.
Whether you’re enjoying a catch-up with friends, a pre-tour lunch or post-shopping refreshments, the Clock Tower’s expansive, relaxing environment balances Victorian splendour with contemporary style.
The Clock Tower Dining Room is open:
Monday to Friday 10.00am – 2.30pm
Saturdays 9.00am – 1.30pm
