Spring 2023Springhill’s Volunteer Appeal 2023
Springhill Hospice kicked off 2023 with something very close to their hearts – Springhill’s Volunteer Appeal 2023.
Springhill’s volunteers are an integral part of their team; without them, they wouldn’t be able to provide patients and their loved ones with their exceptional care, every day of the year. They quite frankly couldn’t continue to exist without their loyal volunteers donating their time and skills.
Over the past two years, Springhill has lost over 100 volunteers due to the pandemic and other factors, which means its resources have been placed under considerable strain.
Springhill Hospice launched its volunteer campaign in January, in the hope that many supporters would take the New Year as an incentive to do something amazing in 2023, and make a difference to their local community by becoming a volunteer.
There are a variety of volunteer roles available at Springhill, including; gardening, patient companionship, day therapies, retail and also general volunteering. Springhill also encourages potential volunteers to come forward and share their own skills if they feel as if they do not fit into one of the roles on offer.
To find out more about becoming a volunteer at Springhill Hospice, visit www.springhill.org.uk/volunteer, where you can complete a volunteer interest form and a member of the team will get back to you. You can also call Springhill Hospice on 01706 649920 and have an informal chat with the Volunteer Coordinator.
