Autumn 2023New specialised dementia garden launched at Springhill Hospice
Specially-created dementia garden for patients to enjoy outside space whilst suiting their specific needs.
The launch of the Springhill Hospice dementia garden in July was a huge success with patients and loved ones alike getting to make the most of the new space in the sunshine.
The garden features sensory areas, kinetic sand, and carefully selected plants to entice all the senses, and the hospice team is thrilled with how well the garden has been received.
Springhill extends a massive ‘thank you’ to the team of community volunteers, and everyone else who worked tirelessly over the last few months to bring the garden to life and make the launch a success.
The hospice plans to build even more therapeutic spaces for patients.
