Autumn 2023Budding photographer’s snap of Ellenroad Engine House Steam Museum wins monthly contest
Jane Walton’s black and white photo of the Ellenroad Engine House Steam Museum in Newhey won the May South Pennines Park photography competition.
An amateur photographer and nurse, Jane loves escaping from her professional life and taking photographs to help her unwind.
She said: “I’ve enjoyed spending time looking at the detail and trying to get the right shot.
“I thought black and white would suit it as it’s quite vintage; I was chuffed to bits when I won.
“Winning has encouraged me to develop my skills further and keep pushing myself.”
